My Friend Dolls Mandy and Becky

Ok, so are these not some of the cutest dolls you have ever seen? I personally did not have a My Friend Doll growing up (I think they were before my time) but I do love them! I ordered these girls off of ebay and their friend Jenny is on the way! The blonde (Mandy) is for my niece Chy for Christmas and the brunette(Jenny not shown) will be for my daughter. Sunshine told me she wanted a doll that had brown hair like her, and even though her hair isn't that dark, I wanna make her happy! So the red head is mine...you know...for trying cloths on and such... Anyway I also got the four seasons book that comes with 4 patterns. The patterns are super easy to follow and there are a million different ways to change up the outfits. This is the first out fit I made them. Hopefully there will be much more before Christmas comes! Oh, and maybe some shoes!

Halloween Costumes

So me and my sister got together and made Mermaids! She is just beginning to sew some thing and we jumped into this costume thing without paying to much attention. Well we almost drowned! Boy, the pattern was a lot harder then I imaged it would be. She did a really awesome job and Thank You Mom for helping us!!! My sister then went on to make a cape for her other daughter! You go girl! Doo-Dah went as a skeleton since he would wear anything on his head! I would have liked to have made him one like Jill but the one I got him looked so cute!!

Pumpkins and Halloween outfits

Every year I always look forward to going and getting our pumpkin (almost as much as I love roasting and eating pumpkin seeds ALMOST). My only regret is not making the outfits before October! They turned out so cute I want to see them in them more! I made Sunshine's dress with this simplicity pattern, and Doo-Dah's shirt was made with Simplicity 2627. Both the patterns were super easy and I actually pulled Doo-Dah's together in an hour or so. Am defiantly going to use the patterns to make them some different outfits. I love it when patterns go on sale for 99 cents. In fact I couldn't imagine buying them full price. I guess that is why I haven't ordered my Oliver+S pattern's :/ . I have decided that they will defiantly be my Christmas present to myself. Oh and for those who didn't know they are publishing a book, Little Things to Sew! It's actually quite funny since it comes out in March I guess I have my birthday present lined up too!

Fall Jacket #2

Finished Big Sisters jacket. Another pattern from one of my favorite books (Sewing Cloths Kids Love). The pattern wasn't as hard as I imagined.I had literally been waiting for fall to make her this jacket and I had purchased the materials before knowing what I was going to make with them. I love when things all come together like that! I'm not quite sure what kind of snaps/button I should use. I'm sure I will find the perfect snap though. Luckily Sunshine loves it and as you can see I went ahead and embroidered a little sunshine on it for her :)  I made it fully reversible but like her brothers I really like the cords.
